As a former NYer, whose father was a lifeguard on that fabled strand, I’ve always had an attraction to its flamboyant, funky, and slightly seedy charm. The photographs in this book capture all of those facets, and are filled with playfulness, tenderness, fierceness and pride in equal measure. A GEM!
